A velomobile is a vehicle driven by muscle power, which is fitted with an enclosed fairing, which, in contrast to the traditional bike, gives the driver protection from wind, rain, snow and the cold. The streamlined shape of the velomobile’s design reduces the drag, so that you can travel faster with the same muscle power as you can with a recumbent bike or a normal bike. Our velomobiles are at their best over flat and slightly hilly ground. After a short running-in period, you can reach cruising speeds of 33km/h with the Leitra Avancee, 35km/h with the Thunderstorm and 40-45km/h with the Interceptor on the flat.
